Capt. Traci Rhodes was born in Edinburg Texas and introduced to fishing by her father at the early age of 5 yrs old. Captain Leo’s fishing skills along with his wealth of knowledge were passed down to his daughter and has now become her profession. Traci has spent many years on the waters of the Lower Laguna Madre but has also enjoyed the experiences of fishing the Pro Bass leagues with her dad as well. Traci has caught a broad horizon of different species of fish, but has an acute specialty in Redfish! Traci is an advocate for the female outdoorswoman, and is entrenched in getting more women involved in this great sport! When she is not guiding or fishing tournaments, she teams up with her husband, Steve Rhodes on his custom-built Saltwater Edition Airboat to survey healthy Redfish populations. To say Fishing is in this Ladies’ linage is an understatement, and she lives for sharing that hair-raising sound of line peeling from her favorite reel! In the end, she hopes to bring as many people into her boat and to bring as many fond memories to them and their family as the water has brought her.
